IN THE FALL PACK
Orange 2020 (1x)
Our hand harvested, hand destemmed, wild fermented blend of Gewürztraminer and Muscat spent a fortnight on skins. You'll get those familiar bursts of textured mango, jasmine, and orange peel as you savour the last of our stock.
Orange No2 just won a Gold at the national Wine Align awards!
Chardonnay 2019 (1x)
This Chard has very nice oak integration (40% new) and slightly higher acid levels than our 2018, creating a balanced gem we're very proud of. Around 60% was wild-fermented, and the rest received a special French strain of yeast that our winemaker Kevin won't let go of. This is our only wine that isn't entirely wild fermented.
Merlot 2019 (2x)
It's got a lively palate with a punch of raspberry, contrasted by darker notes of cacao and star anise on the finish. The grapes for this medium-bodied Merlot came from three cooler-climate sites, contributing to its bright acidity and ‘drink-now’ style. It spent 14 months in barrel: 20% new oak, 80% neutral.
Just won a Gold Medal at the BC Lieutenant Governor's Wine Awards!
Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 (1x) 🔶 NEW
Our first 100% Cab Sauv release is ready and tasting magical, with classic dark fruit, tobacco, and cedar-sauna notes that remind us of the holidays 🌲.
Coming from a single plot near Oliver, it spent 14 months in 40% new French oak and mellowed in bottle for another 8 months. It's tasting great now, or can be cellared over the next 5+ years.
Tempranillo 2019 (1x). 🔶 NEW | WC ONLY
For those missing our Tempranillo Rose, here's where the juice went...
We're stoked to finally share this very limited release to wine club members only! Grown in Kevin's own vineyard in Kaleden, our Tempranillo spent 14 months in neutral oak and 8 months in bottle. A true expression of this Spanish variety - you'll find earthy notes of rosemary, fig-leather, and black cherry jam, but without the sugar – coming in very dry @ 2.72 g/L
This is the first wine we've ever fined - gently softening the tannins in barrel by using a traditional French egg-white fining process. The eggs were sourced from our winemaker's own chickens that roam the Tempranillo vines. Similar to other fining methods used by almost every other winery, the egg-white is 'racked' out and does not end up in the bottle.
Only 2 barrels made!
