Kaleden was originally named after the combination of KALOS (Greek for beautiful) and EDEN - a lush, green, garden paradise. Wellll Kaleden is just as lush these days, with a LOT of vineyards, and more being put in every year. Kaleden is a cool-er climate growing region, typically producing grapes with lower sugar, higher acid, and thinner skin - which can mean less tannin.
Possibly the most interesting planting for Kaleden's cooler climate is Kevin's Tempranillo. This grape and Kevin both hail from Spain and were transplanted into a completely new environment - adapting to create something unexpected.

WHITE PINOT NOIR 2021 (1x)
Chamomile. Young Pear
'Blanc' AKA: Pinot Noir Blanc, White Pinot Noir . Blanc de Noirs.
BLANC was made by lightly pressing pinot noir grapes and wild-fermenting without skin contact. This bright, delicate wine brings floral notes of chamomile tea and young pear, with a beautifully long finish. Note: This is not a sparkling Blanc de Noirs.
Wild ferment. 5 months in neutral French oak.

Who's got the acid?
Coming almost entirely from the winemaker (Kevin's) own vineyard, all the varieties in ‘It’s Nice’ were cold macerated on skins between 3-6 days, pressed, and transferred to neutral oak barrels to start their fermentation. With prominent lychee and citrus-zest notes from the Sauv Blanc, florals from the Muscat, and body from the Chard, we think you’ll agree - it’s nice!
Wild + Barrel Ferment. 6 months in neutral oak barrels.
ORANGE No 4 2022 (1x)
Another Orange! Our signature, wild fermented blend of Gewürztraminer and Muscat spent 7 days on skins. If you've had ours before, you'll get those familiar notes of jasmine and honeysuckle on the nose, with tropical witbier on the palate 🌴.
This year half the Gewurz was picked early to bring higher acid. Wild Ferment. 6 months in neutral oak barrels.
CAB FRANC ROSE 2022 (1x)
Full bodied. Cranberry yogurt
The grapes for this rosé came from a cooler site in Kaleden and were wild fermented in barrel, bringing a soft cranberry yogurt nose, with citrus and red berry on the palate. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it leaves you with a subtle grip and a hint of spice on the finish. This rose has great body from extended time on skin, and has a lot more character than your average Provence-style rosé. It's great with cheeseboards / lighter food parings.
Wild fermented. 48 hrs on skins.
PINOT NOIR 2021 (1x)
Light. Neutral Oak. Chilled summer red.
After 4 years of wanting to make a Pinot, and passing on vintages where the grapes weren't good enough, or there was smoke, or we actually couldn't get our hands on any - we've made one to be proud of. The grapes for this delicate yet complex wine came from a cooler lakeside site near our winemaker's home in Kaleden.
This is a very light, delicate Pinot, with bright notes of cassis and cherry shining through. Complex earthy undertones are supported by a long 16 month rest in mostly neutral French Oak. We couldn't be happier with this one 👌
TEMPRANILLO 2020 (1x)
Juicy. Dry. Bright.
Coming from our winemaker’s East-SE facing plot in Kaleden, this Tempranillo was wild-fermented and remains unfiltered. Okanagan Tempranillo is on the rare side, and we only produce a few barrels each vintage. You'll find notes of ripe raspberry, cacao and sage.
It's beautifully dry with nice acidity, medium bodied, and it spent 15 months resting in neutral French oak.
