Tempranillo 2021 

Canadian Tempranillo? Coming entirely from our winemaker’s small, South East facing plot in Kaleden, this Tempranillo was wild-fermented and remains unfined and unfiltered. Okanagan Tempranillo is on the rare side, and we only produced two barrels in 2021. 

The nose is bright with ripe raspberry and sage, followed by cacao, and black cherry on the palate.  This is a beautifully dry wine, with great acidity. It spent 16 months on fine lees in neutral French oak, followed by almost two years resting in bottle.
