Tempranillo 2021 

Canadian Tempranillo? Coming entirely from our winemaker’s small, South East facing plot in Kaleden, this Tempranillo was wild-fermented and remains unfined and unfiltered. Okanagan Tempranillo is on the rare side, and we only produced two barrels in 2021.

The nose is bright with ripe raspberry, followed by cacao and sage on the palate.  This is a beautifully dry wine, but with great acidity, and the 16 months it spent in neutral French oak give it some body, although lighter than what you might experience with a Spanish Tempranillo.
