Picnic Season
Picnic season is upon us. And perhaps it's now more important than ever with social distancing in effect.
I was talking with a friend recently about how picnics in general are basically the best part about living. They combine everything that's important into one relatively easy activity:
- Great company (or none)
- Great wine
- Snacks (cheese specifically)
- Good weather
- Good location* bonus
While living in Toronto it seemed that picnics were a much bigger part of my life, which can probably be attributed to not having a backyard, and NEEDING to go outside of the home for a gathering. But part of the excitement is the ability to choose the setting for your picnic, no matter where you live. Getting out of your comfort zone and exploring new places, faces, and of course, new wines.
We did a short picnic-inspired edit for our May-Long rose promotion, but the feeling it brought will continue through spring and summer. The friend I was talking to said that 'picnic' is a lifestyle, and we're excited to explore that more, especially since this friend is going to be our first importer of Plot into Ontario, through their incredible wine bar in Guelph – Two Faces
More on that soon – but happy picnic season!
